January 1, “Vote This Motherf—er Out”: Ted Cruz Sparks Outrage

The parents of a child killed during the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School met with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) this week, urging him to support new gun control measures.
Felix and Kimberly Rubio’s daughter, Alexandria “Lexi” Rubio, 18 other children, and two teachers lost their lives in the May 24 mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Cruz declined to support new gun reform measures, saying he’s in favor of increasing police presence on school campuses.
Kimberly Rubio shared a photo of the meeting on Twitter, writing: “Felix shared our last photo of Lexi — in her child-size casket — as we asked [Ted Cruz] to protect his constituents by supporting a federal ban on assault weapons. He declined. Instead, he said he supports increasing law enforcement presence on school campuses.”
Many people expressed outrage at what they interpreted as a nonchalant reaction from the senator, including several other parents of children killed in mass shootings.
“So sorry you had to have this experience with him,” tweeted Fred Guttenberg, whose 14-year-old daughter Jamie was killed in the 2018 shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida. “Unfortunately, I have had my experience with Ted as well. He is a fraud, and I look forward to working with you to fire him.”
Brett Cross, who lost his 10-year-old son Uziyah Garcia in the Uvalde shooting, also responded. “It’s time to vote this motherf—er out as well. Heartless piece of sh—t! His solution? More cops? 376 waiting 77 minutes wasn’t enough? F—k you!”
One user noted Cruz’s body language, saying, “That man couldn’t care less.”
A spokesperson for Cruz confirmed his meeting with the Rubios and reiterated the senator’s support for the Securing Our Schools Act of 2022.
“[Senator Cruz] saw firsthand the pain and the grief that the unspeakable violence at Robb Elementary School caused,” the statement said.
“Unfortunately, Senate Democrats blocked [the Securing Our Schools Act of 2022] with no explanation of why they don’t support doubling the number of police officers in schools, hiring 15,000 school-based mental health professionals, and increasing the physical security for children in schools,” the spokesperson added.

How does it help to take my constitutional rights away when criminals can have a gun as soon as they get out of prison? Figure this out before you limit citizens from being able to protect themselves and their families
When someone breaks into your house and you call the police for help and they aren’t available to come may I suggest you contact a social worker to come to your house and help negotiate with your intruder and ask him to please not rape or kill you. She/he can politely ask your intruder to kindly put down their weapon and leave the premises quietly. Good luck with that!

Anyone who cares to research can easily find that armed citizens stop potentially violent crimes against themselves MANY THOUSANDS of times more than the crimes committed by criminals with guns.
