January 1, WATCH: Airline Passengers Duck for Cover as Plane Hit by Gunfire

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…
1999: President Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial begins in the U.S. Senate after the House voted to impeach him for lying about his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

A traveler on an Aeromexico flight recorded video footage showing terrified passengers ducking for cover as stray gunfire struck the plane as it sped down the runway.

The alarming incident occurred after the arrest of Ovidio Guzman, the son of the imprisoned drug lord El Chapo, who police say is a high-ranking member of the Sinaloa Cartel.

David Tellez, 42, posted the shocking footage on social media. He recalled the experience in an interview with Reuters.

“As we were accelerating for takeoff, we heard gunshots very close to the plane, and that’s when we all threw ourselves to the floor,” Tellez told the outlet.

No injuries were reported. It’s not clear who fired the shot or who they were shooting at, according to Reuters.

Tellez was traveling with his wife and three children, aged 7, 4, and 1. He told Reuters that his family planned to remain at the airport until boarded another flight on Friday.

“We prefer to stay at the airport until it’s safe to leave,” he said. “The city is worse. There is a lot of shooting and confusion.”

And since our Republic is gone and is now a Banana Republic it will be happening in our airports but at least for the time being we can and will shoot back!!! DUDA

True, random airport shootings could, very well, happen here; what we have seen, recently, are coordinated shooting attacks on our electrical substations and transformers. In the latter instance, the “jack wagons” seem to like to pick a time when the weather is terrible (usually extreme cold) and will cause the most danger to the most people!! Definitely, a “sick minded” bunch of terrorists; because that action IS “domestic terrorism”. Thus far, law enforcement has no clues as to whom the terrorists are; hopefully, power companies will get “on the ball” and get surveillance cameras installed. Although, said terrorists will, probably, shoot those out, too.

For something that important more than disposable cameras are needed; like real, live security. It begs the question, who is in charge, why isn’t serious thought and action being taken?

Don

Well, it’s a Mexico problem since they’re the ones who elected their governments.

We should give Mexico three months to stop the illegals from entering our country, stop the drugs, get rid of the gangs or we will come into Mexico and clean it up. Mexico is a direct threat to our country.

anon

We should start the clean up here in our own country; the insane number of illegals swarming thru the open border (s) is the result of Biden’s invitation for the purpose of building up, by numbers, the Democratic Party. Two plus years into his administration and he’s just now going to the border? Which he said earlier that he had more important things to think about?? Additionally, his admin has ordered a “clean-up” in El Paso, TX where he will be visiting; he’ll go back to DC and report that all is fine at the border!!!

wow. that is nearly as bad as the stray bullets in chicago.
