Rep. Victoria Spartz laid into House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, saying he needs to stop engaging in political spats with Democrats and start focusing on the American people.
The Indiana Republican’s words come in response to McCarthy’s pledge to remove Democratic Reps. Eric Swalwell, Adam Schiff, and Ilhan Omar from their committee assignments.
Spartz released a statement to oppose the action, calling on McCarthy to stop the “bread and circuses” with his colleagues in Congress and to “start governing for a change.”
Two wrongs do not make a right. Speaker Pelosi took unprecedented actions last Congress to remove Reps. Greene and Gosar from their committees without proper due process. Speaker McCarthy is taking unprecedented actions this Congress to deny some committee assignments to the Minority without proper due process again. As I spoke against it on the House floor two years ago, I will not support this charade again. Speaker McCarthy needs to stop “bread and circuses” in Congress and start governing for a change.
The phrase “bread and circuses” originates from a Latin expression that refers to how the ruling class would provide the masses with superficial means to appease them, while distracting them from larger problems.

The Congress woman should aim to make her time in Congress credit worthy. Speaker McCarthy is doing well. Democrats need this beating. Whenever they come to power it will be more of the same. It is important to show them that they will pay for their malfeasance when they held the gavel.

So McCarthy and his minions right off the bat begin investigations about Biden and his son who has not ever been a government employee. What is happening with the job that House members are supposed to do for Americans? Their first agenda is nothing more than ” like middle school students”, get revenge on the other side. What a sad commentary on our country, especially when the Freedom Caucus has control of McCarthy and he does whatever that they demand that he do, because that was the only way that he could become the Speaker of the House. This congress women is out of her mind. There is good reason why these people were removed. Please educate yourself congresswomen and do your research as to why these people needed to be removed. Do not remain politically ignorant.
Spartz needs to grow up and realize the trash McCarthy is trashing IS aimed at helping the people by keeping said trash out of the decision making from the panels they’re in. I don’t really trust him but so far he’s doen sone good.

Republicans need to ditch the ‘go-along-to-get-along’ attitude when dealing with modern day Democrats. It doesn’t work with Communists.
