January 1, Restaurant Manager Fires Entire Staff Via Group Text Message
An entire restaurant staff was informed that their positions had been terminated over a text message, the Daily Dot reported.
One of the employees, Allison, went viral on social media after sharing a screenshot of the alleged text message.
The text reads: “Hey y’all so everybody fired I’m not gonna beat around the bush with y’all. So if [you’re] scheduled tonight or this week at all yeah we’re done the restaurant as a whole is done [redacted] grille is no longer a thing.”
In the post’s caption, Allison said she was “disappointed but not surprised,” and noted that the firing came “during Christmas.”
The Daily Dot confirmed that the restaurant mentioned in the post did close earlier this week, announcing plans to relaunch under a new brand in 2023. The outlet noted that it’s unclear if any of the fired staff will be included in the new endeavor.

Seems a really chicken sh_t way to run a business. The Owner / manager should have had a sit down with the entire staff before resorting to such childish things. Clearly it was holiday related…to save money for his wallet.
Very cowardly done and not professional at all.
