January 1, AOC Rebuked Over “Patently False” Remarks

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) drew sharp criticism over comments she made about crime in New York City, which some decried as “patently false.”
The self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist was a guest on the popular radio show “The Breakfast Club” earlier this week. She denied that violent crime is on the rise in New York City, saying that it’s actually gone down.
“A lot of people think that crime is up, when we actually see that shootings are down, when we see that huge indicators on the most violent crime in New York City is down,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
The left-wing lawmaker then criticized NYC Mayor Eric Adams and Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) for putting more police officers on subway platforms, claiming that the added police presence was responsible for rising crime on the MTA.
“Subway crime is up. But let’s also note that subway crime is up after they committed so many more officers to the subway system. So that also tells us from a policy perspective, adding more cops to the subway isn’t solving this problem,” she added.
Ocasio-Cortez’s claims contradict recent crime data. Crime on the city’s transit system is up 41% this year, while overall crime in NYC is up 29.6%.
Panelists on the Fox News show “Outnumbered” discussed the congresswoman’s remarks, calling them “patently false,” and saying that if she believes her claims, “she’s not fit to serve.”
“It’s absolutely, patently false for her to be saying that police presence does not deter crime and to blame violent attacks or rise in crime on our New York City’s finest,” said co-host Emily Compagno.
“She’s delusional,” said Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery. “She’s flat-out wrong. If she believes it, she’s not fit to serve.”
Co-host Kayleigh McEnany noted that while Democrats have continued to win the governor’s seat, their margin of victory has been steadily narrowing since 2018. Hochul beat her midterm challenger Lee Zeldin (R) by just five points in this year’s race.
“So there was a significant recognition here in New York that something is awry,” McEnany said.
“Everyone’s going to Florida,” she added. “They’re going to Florida for a reason because those policies work.”

She’s always been a lying Demonrat.
Then why is she whining about her life is in danger and she is afraid to go oiutside and walk her dog?
AOC……Is just totally – a worthless person in Congress. I’m surprised the Democrats in her own Party….Even put up with her miserable prank actions. She needs to be Ousted. The Party needs to get rid of her….she is just a Disgrace to Our Government and Country.
She needs to go back to being a third rate bartender. Probably did a lousy job at that as well!! I am so glad I live in Free Florida!
Go De Santis! He is not only a great governor, but will make a great President!
How many times has this site called out trump for his thousands of lies ?
This article is about AOC not Trump. Nice try at deflecting though.
