January 1, California Man Accused of Coercing 80 Children To Make Illicit Videos

A California man is accused of grooming at least 80 children, coercing them into creating child pornography.

Demetrius Carl Davis, 24, reportedly posed as an adolescent girl named “Lizzy” in a variety of online profiles and contacted children between the ages of 6 and 13. 

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office searched Davis’s home in December 2021, uncovering “numerous” videos of children engaging in sexual acts on his devices.

“At that time, we did not have enough evidence to arrest him on site, but we took all those electronics,” Sgt. Rod Grassman said.

“Over the last several months, we have forensically analyzed all of those and have identified 80 different victims and an additional 15 to 20 internationally, which we have not identified yet.”
