January 1, DeSantis says ‘Biden’s lawlessness’ is to blame for Jacksonville murder
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said the Biden administration’s “lawlessness” is to blame for the alleged murder of a Jacksonville man by an illegal migrant.
Authorities say Yery Noel Medina Ulloa pretended to be 17 to gain entry to the US. He is charged with murdering Francisco Javier Cuellar, 46, who took him in.
“Unfortunately there was a tragic situation — one of the illegals that Biden flew in committed a murder in Florida recently,” DeSantis told Sean Hannity of Fox News. “That individual who died would be alive had Biden not been doing this.”
“They don’t tell us when these flights are coming in — these are flights at 2 in the morning. We’re looking at ways to hold these contractors accountable who are basically the instruments of Biden’s lawlessness.”
“If it’s a federal responsibility, what happens when the federal government totally defaults on that responsibility? Are they saying the states have no ability to protect themselves?”
Ulloa pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence. He is due back in court on Nov. 20.
