January 1, McConnell Has Some Serious Doubts About the Midterms

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) expressed doubt that Republicans will regain control of the Senate in the upcoming midterm elections.
When asked for his prediction about the 2022 midterms, McConnell said: “I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different — they’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome.”
“Right now, we have a 50-50 Senate and a 50-50 country, but I think when all is said and done this fall, we’re likely to have an extremely close Senate, either our side up slightly or their side up slightly.”
Historical trends show that the party not currently in power typically favors well in the midterm races, but McConnell is concerned that certain candidates may give the Democrats an advantage.

McConnell needs to go .He is a RINO and is part of the swamp. There are other Old Republicans that have no Back Bone that need to Go also
I agree–McConnell is a swamp creature and as long as he can hang onto his own power he doesn’t give a rip who controls the country. His wife’s family has ties to Red China so that should tell you something.
What McConnell is saying is that gerrymandering, like in his home state of Kentucky where there are almost equal numbers of Republican and Democratic voters, that the Republicans will have 5 representatives in the House to the Democrats one. Gerrymandering doesn’t apply to Senate races. I’m sure he wishes it did.
