January 1, Romney: ‘I Have Morons on My Team’
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) used a quote from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to describe some of his colleagues after they attended a conference hosted by a prominent white nationalist.
“Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar, I don’t know them,” Romney said during a CNN appearance. “I’m reminded of the old line from the ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid’ movie, where one character says, ‘Morons, I have morons on my team.'”
Romney said there’s “no place” in either political party for white nationalism or racism, calling it “simply wrong” for elected officials to associate with white nationalists.
“I would think that anybody that would sit down with a white nationalist and speak at their conference would certainly be missing a few IQ points,” Romney said.
Romney’s statements came after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) attended a conference hosted by Nick Fuentes, a white nationalist leader, in Orlando, Florida. Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) also appeared at the event via pre-recorded video.
“I don’t know what his views are, so I’m not aligned with anything that may be controversial,” Greene told CBS News. “I went to his event last night to address his very large following because that is a young, very young, following and a generation I am extremely concerned about.”

Romney doesn’t exactly have a halo over his head when it comes to a lot of issues. when is Romney going to start criticizing Lying Corrupt Quid Pro KING Joe for trying destroy America with his failed domestic and foreign policies, or how about criticizing the Squad, or how about Marxist BLM or CRT.
