January 1, Bill Clinton health update: ‘glad to be home’
Former President Bill Clinton released a video saying he’s on the mend following a six-day hospitalization for an infection.
Clinton, 75, said he was “glad to be home” and was “so touched by the outpouring of support” during his hospital stay last week.
According to an aide, Clinton had a urological infection that spread to his bloodstream.
The infection isn’t the former president’s first health scare since leaving office in 2001. He had quadruple bypass surgery in 2004, surgery for a partially collapsed lung in 2005, and a pair of stents placed in a coronary artery in 2010.
