January 1, CNN+ Draws Fewer Than 10K Viewers

Amid troubled times at CNN, the network was dealt another blow: the lackluster launch of its new streaming platform, CNN+.

CNN+ has yet to exceed 10,000 daily viewers, driving speculation that the network’s new parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, could pull the plug on the platform.

Leadership at the newly-formed Warner Bros. Discovery reportedly plans to slash hundreds of millions of funds for CNN+ given its shaky standing.

Still, the network is putting up a positive front.

“We continue to be happy with the launch and its progress after only two weeks,” a CNN spokesperson told CNBC.
